Mimino/мимино/მიმინო (Georgiy Daneliya, 1977) Opening Scene Without Overdubbing

In 1977 a movie was released which garnered both critical and popular praise. The movie was about a pilot, his hairy co-pilot, and something about a Falcon. To this day, fans of this film remember it fondly and can quotes their favorite lines from memory. Since then, it has been re-released several times, however, never in its original, unaltered form. I am, of course, referring to...Mimino.

This is the opening scene of Mimino minus the overdubbing. In the DVD release of this film, the scenes with dialogue in Georgian are overdubbed in Russian. I manually scrubbed the overdubbing in this scene to hopefully raise awareness of the fact that there is no version of this film I've been able to find that has the original unaltered audio track.

It is not my intention to infringe the copyright of Mosfilm. If there were a version of this film commercially available without the overdubbing, I would gladly purchase it and take down this video.
