The Original Garden 2017, The pattern of The Sun

This video shows our original garden when we moved into the house. I thought it would be useful for you to see the pattern of the rising and setting of the sun and how little daylight the garden receives.

This was important when it came to putting together the original plans and establishing what type of plants would grow.

As you can see the sun shines mainly on the outbuilding with the black door. This was why we chose to situate a patio area here to benefit from most of the light in the summer months.

The garden gets very waterlogged so it was important for us to introduce drainage. The grassed area was unusable due to the waterlogging.
