Weapon System In Game Animation Sample Project Unreal Engine 5
In this unreal engine 5 weapon systems Tutorial using the game animation sample project GASP as a base, we create a rifle, shotgun and pistol weapon system complete with animations aim offsets, sound effects visual effects, interaction setups and the start of our inventory.

FAQ:
Q: is this replicated?
A: nope not at all, single player focussed
Q: at 28:50 ish the event dispatcher changes from interfaces to inventory pick up
a: It should be interaction pick up inventory was from a older recording that in caught in editing, continue following with the interaction pick up event dispatcher :)
Q: my weapon goes to the root on the equip unequip.
A: thats my fault i seem to have cut the bit that shows in the equip able actor connect the bone to unequip to up to false. Image at 58:44 of full setup.
Q: weapon still fires while holstered
A: on fire event in player do a branch and the condition is weapon in hands if true continue.
Q: why Data tables over Data assets
A: great question, for my plans DT's tend to fit better, i want a random stats type system to use with the guns and i find DT's are easier to manipulate that with rather than DA's.
Q: Recoil and spread?
A: both will be included currently this video shows a very basic system of both which will be refined in the future
Q: Pose search databases?
A: PSD's will be used for locomotion but are not shown here due to wanting this to be a weapon system rather than locomotion plus that would be a really boring first video ;P
Q: can i have this project?
A: currently there are no plans to release this project to the public for free this may change down the line plus id have to write all the documentation for it and honestly that takes alot of time.
