PE Floor Hockey

This is floor hockey. I play it from first to fifth grade. During this unit I teach dribbling, the push pass and shot (I don't allow the slap shot for safety purposes), defense (guards and goalie), and offense (forwards and center), and sportsmanship. My unit is 5 weeks long. Week 1 is puck control. We play Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar to work on that. Week 2 is the push pass. We play Swing the Puck for practice. Finally, in weeks 3-5 we play floor hockey. You can see my projector on the floor at the end of the video. I push it off to the side and project a 2 to 2:30 minute timer from it. At the end of the time, the children return the sticks to the place they got them and go find a place in line. The next children come in and we continue playing.
