Soldiers parade in the streets of Conakry, following a meeting between the leader of the military coup, Lieutenant Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, and the ministers of the government of president Alpha Conde, ousted the day before. Public discontent had been brewing for months over a flatlining Covid-hit economy and the leadership of Conde, who became Guinea's first democratically elected president in 2010.
