Canadian Timberframes installs Canada's largest and most advanced CNC machine with 6-axis robot

In October 2021, Canadian Timberframes broke ground on our 10,000 sq. ft. addition.
In June 2022 we began erecting the steel frame which would eventually become the shop floor space housing our new Hundegger K2 Industry 1300
This machine increases our timber capacity here at Canadian Timberframes by 500 per cent, and allows us to take on more complex residential builds & larger scale commercial projects using both timber & mass timber products.
It allows us to more readily incorporate big wood into our process, including manufactured wood such as CLT’s, and glulaminates.
The addition’s steel frame was completed in August, and the walls and windows went up in September 2022
This past October, 6,000 sq. ft. of in-floor heating was installed, ultimately providing Canadian Timberframes with the ability to heat the facility using our own wood off-cuts.
In November 2022 the concrete floor was poured and Canadian Timberframes was officially ready to welcome the Hundegger K2 Industry.
In January 2023 Canadian Timberframes received their new Hundegger.
After having increased the size of their facility by 50 per cent, Canadian Timberframes is now home to Canada’s largest and most advanced CNC machine with a 6 axis robot. Canadian Timberframes’ is now accepting mass timber and tall wood construction projects.
