🚣♀️ ROWING EFFICIENCY
Last week, we drew the parallel between deadlifting and rowing, and how we want to keep the full foot on the pedal when driving your legs.
Today we are highlighting the shoulders. You wouldn’t SCOOP your shoulders forward at the bottom of the deadlift, nor would you shoot your shoulders straight up first.
In a proper deadlift, you’d drive with your legs first, THEN squeeze your butt and open your hips.
Similarly, when rowing, we want to go legs first, then hips open, and THEN pull with the arms!
