Vintage Appliances: Electric Popcorn Poppers
Today, we just throw a bag into a microwave oven and in a couple minutes it's filled with hot popcorn. Long before microwaves, people either made popcorn in a pot on the stove, or had one of these electric poppers that heated the oil and popped the corn. Knapp-Monarch, Dominion, Mirro, West Bend, Sears, and many other brands made poppers. Over time, they included features like automatic buttering and a lid that was also used as a serving bowl.
