Thats Bad For Your Knees - Heavy Leg Extensions
That's Bad For Your Knees... 🤔👇
315 pounds.
Seven plates.
On a leg extension.
Every time I post something like this, somebody says it's bad for my knees.
Here's the reality...
I'm 47 years old. I've never had a knee injury. Never had knee surgery. Never dealt with chronic knee pain.
That didn't happen by accident.
I grew up as an athlete before I ever became a bodybuilder. When I got into bodybuilding at 18, I never stopped thinking about performance, strength, athleticism, and balance. I wasn't just training to look strong. I was training to be strong.
One thing I've consistently trained for decades is the tibialis, along with the muscles that support and stabilize the knee joint. I've always believed that a strong body is a balanced body.
Could I walk into the gym and move 315 pounds on leg extensions with no preparation? Absolutely not.
This is the result of years of progressive training, strengthening connective tissue, improving stability, and earning the right to handle heavier loads.
Too many people focus on what an exercise might do, while ignoring what years of smart, consistent training can do.
Strength isn't built in a day.
Neither is resilience.
How old are you, and what's the heaviest leg extension you've ever done? 👇
