Debademba

Debademba is the happy collaboration between the brilliant guitarist Abdoulaye Traoré from Burkina Faso and the Malian singer Mohamed Diaby.

In 2014 Debademba played at the Afrika Festival exactly at the same time as the Netherlands v Costa Rica game was being played at the football World Cup. Half of the audience gathered in Hertme watched the game on a big screen, the other half were witness to a fantastic concert. Five tracks from this memorable performance were put on our first live CD. This year Holland won't be competing in the World Cup, but Debademba will take to our stage again as we celebrate our 30th anniversary.

With the release of their new album 'Sanikoya', they make a triumphant welcomed return.
