You’re Not Becoming Someone New

If I actually build this room, I have to admit something.

I have to admit that I’m done being the woman I’ve been. That this season, this era is over. That somewhere along the way, I abandoned the very essence of myself.

And that’s terrifying. Because as long as the door stays closed, I have an excuse.

But something shifted. I realized I’m not becoming someone new. I’m finding my way back to someone I already know.

And she is so tired of waiting.
