A Day in The Life of a Wildlife Photographer in Africa

Being a wildlife photographer in Africa is the dream job of so many. So, what does an average day look like? A little like this.

We're in Kruger National Park in South Africa flexing our wildlife photography muscles. And, overall, it's been going quite well. Today, for example, we saw the entire big 5. However, sightings don't always mean great photos, and being a wildlife photographer is about so much more than simply taking pictures of animals.
So, on today's episode I walk you through what a day looks like as a wildlife photography in Africa while on safari. We set out early (before 5am) and headed to a location that some leopards had been hanging out. In the end, we got lucky and found that they were still there. It was dark though, and I was pretty thankful that the Canon EOS R seems to be holding its own in lowlight. I think i captured a pretty cool images.
My days being a wildlife photographer in Africa here continue tomorrow on the photography vlog. I'll see you there.
