Stage 3 Separation at Peak Thrust #Rockets #Simulation

The Gemini program is officially behind us, and today we take the next giant leap in our RP-1 career: Launching our very first space station! 🛰️

In this mission, we aim to complete a 15-day "multi-week habitation analysis" in a 400 km orbit. To pull this off, we’ve designed a specialized craft consisting of a habitation module, a dedicated science module, and a Gemini capsule used for data storage and safe re-entry.

*🚀 The Rocket Assembly:*
* *First Stage:* Two massive *F-1 engines* for that incredible lifting power.
* *Second Stage:* A single *E-1 engine* to push us toward the edge of space.
* *Upper Stage/Station:* Powered by an *LR-91 vacuum engine*, which handles the final orbital insertion and remains part of the station structure.

*🔬 Mission Objectives:*
* Reach an orbit between 250km and 500km.
* Support two Kerbals (including our lead scientist, Sylvia) for 15 days.
* Consume 375 units of Research Payload for the habitation experiment.
* Return the crew safely via the Gemini capsule.

One of the technical highlights of this build is our solution for de-orbiting. To fix stability issues during the retro-burn, we’ve utilized *angled retro motors* to create a spin-stabilized maneuver—keeping our trajectory perfectly on target.
