Will a Check Valve Replace a Stand Pipe in a Ram Pump

In this video we find out if a none return valve is able to replace a stand pipe in the drive pipe of the ram pump. The reason for a stand pipe is to bring the water source closer to the ram pump and increase the cycle time of the waste valve. This also increases the output pressure.
