The 9S was regarded by many in the sixties as one of the most rewarding race cars to drive as well as one of the prettiest cars of its era -- a claim that can justifiably still made today.
In 2005, when the FIA decided to permit the original manufacturers of racing cars to produce continuation models to comply with the new HTP regulations, the opportunity for many historic racers to experience these values once again, become a reality.
Engine: BMW M10 2 litre developing 215 bhp
Gearbox: Hewland FT 200 five speed with LSD
Driveshaft: Sliding spline as in period
Calipers Girling AR3 front and rear
Cockpit: Fully equipped comprising plumed in fire extinguisher, 6 point harness, master cut off switch
Bodywork: Lightweight self-coloured GRP all-enveloping bodywork quickly removed for unhindered access
Chassis: Grey powder coated steel spaceframe with floor panels made from T6 fully hardened aluminium
