The CONS of Being an Animator | Animation Industry Problems

LET'S GET REAL. I love the industry and I love doing what I do but it can also be really tough. I wouldn't quite say this is an animation industry rant, but as great as the animation industry is, there are some pitfalls and cons of being an animator, and there have been very valid videos and articles from other people in the industry about these hardships.

I'll answer questions you may have about whether animators really do work all the time and do an insane amount of overtime, issues like getting a job as an animator, job stability and layoffs or retrenchments in the animation industry, issues of low pay for animators and something which was in the news quite a lot in the past few years; sexism in the animation industry.

My videos have been mainly positive up til now, but I don't want anyone to labor under the misapprehension that the animation industry doesn't still have some things it needs to work on and that there are not any bad things about the animation industry if they're looking at animation as a career choice. As an aspiring animator, you need to be aware that you may have to deal with some hardships and difficulties as there are some problems with the industry.
