Chris' Story - Christmas Appeal 2022 | Full Length
My name is Chris and I’m 47. I’m a son, a husband, a father and I’m a stroke survivor.
I had a stroke just before Christmas 2020 and since then, life has changed completely for me and my family. I was the most active person, a real hands-on dad and husband. I was a footballer and a football coach but stroke has left me paralysed on my left-hand side and now I have to use a wheelchair.
But, thanks to you, I haven’t had to go through all of this on my own.
I have had the help of the very special charity that is Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. For that, I will be eternally grateful.
I know that at Christmas, the best gift of all is time together with your family. And Christmas with my loved ones is something I will never take for granted again.
With your support we can give people like me and families like mine the chance to spend Christmas together.
