Catheter Ablation to Treat Atrial Fibrillation and Heart Rhythm Disorders
Desert Regional Medical Center offers some of the latest technology available to treat atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders at its campus in Palm Springs, CA. The hospital has installed the Epoch system by Stereotaxis, which provides magnetic navigation and robotic precision to the process of cardiac catheter ablation. Elecrophysiologist Hetal Bhakta, MD, describes the disease process of atrial fibrillation and explains how catheter ablation and the Stereotaxis system can help offer some patients a reduction or elimination of drug therapies for this disease. Desert Regional is proud to bring the Stereotaxis system to the Coachella Valley cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella and the surrounding region.
