Cutting Firewood & Telling Stories

Today Hilarie and I are cutting firewood, and while taking breaks, I am telling stories. We head down to the woods with the Farmall Super C and trailer to cut down a beech tree and cut a load of firewood. We use a homemade wood splitter to split the wood to size for the wood stove in our house and stack it in our woodshed. It's hard but meaningful work for me, as I talk about my family's history working in the forest.
