In the editing community, I acknowledge that my editing may be perceived as a type of editing "standard" that others aim to emulate. This comes with a lot of ramifications, including editors who attempt to replicate this style as well as heightened expectations for myself as a person and editor.
People also may be quick to assume that I become annoyed or frustrated when seeing "Lauren clones", which are essentially editors who replicate or take inspiration from aspects of my editing style.
In today's episode, I hope to explain more personal feelings I hold regarding my capabilities and existence as a "popular" editor that will then put into perspective my feelings towards "Lauren clones".
