12 COTTON WOOL BALLS REMOVED FROM PATIENTS EARS - EP178
Video showing 12 cotton wool balls being removed from a patients ears.
The patient attended our ear wax removal clinic feeling very blocked up. He had 3 unsuccessful irrigation attempts at his local surgery.
On examination the ear canals were very blocked with what at first glance appeared to be ear wax. Endoscopic Microsuction was carried out by our Principal Audiologist Mr Rhys Barber.
It quickly became apparent that both ear canals were filled with cotton wool balls. We used various tools to slowly remove al the cotton wool from both ears.
The patient felt a lot better following the procedure and stated this was the best he had heard in years!
