今天路过一家宠物店进去看了一下。Aiden被其中一只超级可爱的小猫深深吸引，舍不得走，想立刻买。销售也过来各种套路试图打动我们。
但看着那些小猫软软的样子，心里五味杂陈；再看着他渴望的眼神，我知道要让他明白这些可爱的背后，往往藏着残酷。当时没能跟他解释清楚，后来他一直担心如果那只小猫没人买最终会被杀掉。晚上回家写了篇小作文明天给他看。

Aiden, do you know why I don’t want us to buy a cat from a pet store?
Because when people buy cats from stores, the breeders make money. When they make money, they keep breeding more and more cats, even when the mommy cats are tired or sick. They’re kept in tiny cages like in an ‘animal factory,’ with no space to play or be happy. The babies are taken away too early, and some get sick because the breeders only care about selling them, not about loving them.
If fewer people buy, those breeders won’t make money anymore. Then they’ll stop breeding so many animals, and fewer cats will have to suffer. The cats that are already born might go to shelters, where kind people can help them find a real home.

宠物店背后很多是残忍的繁殖场：母猫被当作机器，不停生育，关在狭小脏乱的笼子里，没有医疗、没有爱，小猫过早被卖掉，很多都体弱多病。而你买得越多，繁殖的人赚得越多，就会继续让更多生命受苦。
