Princeton Professor on Race Relations: “Our Democracy Is Broken” | Amanpour and Company
This has been a summer of nationwide unrest over racial injustice in America -- a field in which Eddie Glaude Jr. is an expert. He chairs the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University and his latest book is titled "Begin Again: James Baldwin’s America and Its Urgent Lessons for Our Own." The book analyzes the current moment through the works of a great American writer. Glaude Jr. tells Walter Isaacson what we can learn from Baldwin's personal struggle and explains why America must confront the lies it tells itself.
