How to Change an Audi A3 Engine Air Filter for better engine performance

Step by step instruction, including close-ups, on how to change your Audi A3's engine filter. A new air filter can improve engine performance, including a small increase in horsepower and avoid more costly repairs in the long run. It ensures fresh clean air is used for combustion.

Filter used: Mann C35 154 (Made in Germany).

All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. It's an easy DIY job.

The car shown is a 2009 Audi A3 Turbo Sportline (gas, not diesel), however these instructions can be used for other model years too, as the car's design was relatively unchanged for many years.

It's a simple and cheap fix, improves engine efficiency and has long-term benefits, which is why I change mine every year.
