Muddu Bidda (Telugu, 1956) - Javali Dance "Amtalone Tellavare"

The javali "Amtalone Tellavare" in the 1956 Telugu film Muddu Bidda. According to scholar Davesh Soneji, the dance depicts a bhogamelam troupe of kalavantulu (courtesans/"devadasis") in the coastal Andhra Pradesh region and the lead dancer is the actress Krishnajyoti (from a kalavantulu family in real life) and the woman enacting the troupe leader is Surabhi Kamalabai.
