Healing my inner child one slice at a time✨
As a little girl, all I wanted was to eat the cake at parties like everyone else. Yes, my mom would pack me an allergy-safe sweet treat, but I just wanted to have what everyone else was eating.
It might seem like such a small thing, yet it was so hard to watch others enjoy something I couldn’t—especially at just five years old.
Food can be such a source of connection, and since I have multiple food allergies, parties often felt like I didn’t quite fit in. 🫶
I taught myself how to bake and decorate allergy-safe cakes, and it’s now one of my favorite hobbies.
In fact, most of my friends ask me to make cakes for their parties—and while it might seem simple to them, it means the world to me. It’s my way of finally getting to enjoy the cake that everyone else is eating.✨
