The transistor happened because of the research and development made for the hearing aid, that spawned the computing industry as we know it. So we we talked about supercomputers with Jacob Biamonte (Skoltech), trying to see what could be the “hearing aid” of quantum computing and we got that the impact of this technology will surely be “shocking” and “irreversible”.
