Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam was at the centre of a debate on the call to prayers from mosques on Monday after tweeting that the azaan was forced religiousness. But Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Respects Azaan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his maiden campaign for the West Bengal assembly polls, stopped his speech midway following azaan (Islamic call to prayer) from a nearby mosque. PM Modi halted his speech as soon as the sound of azaan was heard and waited patiently for its completion.
