The Ring Alarm Contact Sensors 2nd Gen use 2 CR2032 batteries. The Ring Alarm Contact Sensors work with the Ring Alarm System base station and can be used to monitor windows and doors or other areas where you are trying to protect and opening. The Ring Contact Sensors are 100% wireless and have a peel and stick backing so you can place them anywhere.
How To Replace Ring Alarm Contact Sensor Batteries
1. You can check the battery status of specific contact sensor on the Ring Alarm app to see if they are low and need replacement.
2. Locate the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor.
3. The Ring Alarm Contact Sensor slides on and off the mounting plate stuck to the wall. The batteries are located in the larger portion of the device. Slide the Ring Contact Sensor off its mounting bracket by pulling on the side with the Ring Logo and small button.
4. Remove the existing CR2032 batteries from the Ring Contact Sensor by placing a small screwdriver in the tabs to gently pry the batteries out.
5. Insert new CR2032 batteries into the Ring Alarm Sensor.
6. Slide the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor back on to the mount.
7. Confirm the sensor is powered up and working by pressing the button on the side of the contact sensor that should light up if the batteries are correctly installed.
