Song Story: A Hero's Death by Fontaines D.C.

Last year, Fontaines D.C. were the hero’s of indie rock in our annual Song of the Year election. They ended on the 7th place with The Boys in the Better land. This year they released their sophomore album A Hero’s Death and yes, the title track of this album may just as well end up high in the list. We spoke to Grian about writing the song while listening to the final mix of Dogrel and how he regrets his cynicism in the song after this weird year.
