No Better Time To Be Real | Gio Tayetto | TEDxPortlandStateUniversity
Being honest with each other is hard enough — but being honest with ourselves is even harder. Adding a bit of vulnerability into the mix makes both a bit easier; when we’re vulnerable with ourselves and each other, we inspire and connect in whole new ways. Gio hopes to inspire others to think outside the box and build a community where it's ok to be vulnerable and open-minded. We have to come to accept each other first. It's a simple concept but hard discussion, let's talk about it. Gio is a first-generation young Afro Latino with a tragic story and a lot of hope in good.
In healing his loneliness, he created a podcast that centers around honesty, transparency and vulnerability, intending to open up conversations to their fullest.
Gio deeply wants to help people connect through self-awareness, and hopes to inspire others to open up to honest, transparent, and vulnerable conversations. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
