Hull to Piccadilly - the full journey.

Hull to Piccadilly on a sunny Saturday morning. This route is due to be re-signalled so a last chance to see all the semaphore signalling between Melton Lane and Gilberdyke. I’ll film it again after the colour lights are up and working. See the Humber Bridge, the magnificent Humber, the longest straight track in the country - nearly 19 miles between Brough and Selby (you tell me in the feedback if you know different). The recently refurbished Selby swingbridge, the now redundant loading yard at Gascoine Wood where a constant line of MGR trains loaded coal for the power stations. After a steep climb all the way to Garforth Moor, the line levels out before dropping into Leeds and then finally, the demanding route over the Pennines to Manchester. In order to complete the journey, I’ve had to graft the last part from Stalybridge to Piccadilly on at the end due to running out of memory in the camera but that has been rectified for next time. Nearly 2 hours of HD footage from the cab of a Class 185.
