Cessna 172 Slow Flight - A Practical Application
I have been practicing Slow Flight to get ready for my solo phase check. Here is a perfect example of why we learn slow flight. I have just departed KSQL for a short flight back to KPAO only to find air traffic at KPAO extremely congested (so much so that I could barely contact the tower). When I did break through I was #5 in the sequence, necessitating slow flight on my long approach to runway 31. On my turn to final you can catch the runway at KNUQ (Moffett Federal Airfield). I am in the cockpit of a Cessna 172SP with my CFI Mark Erwin (www.mark1aviation.com).
