Building a Garage for my Box Truck!

Welcome to my channel! My name is Tina and I am converting a U-haul box truck into my tiny home on wheels! In this video I will be showing you how I built the garage for my box truck. With the help of my brother in-law, we designed a wall that was 1.5 ft back from the sliding door and slightly short of the slide rails so that I would still be able to open and close the back. I constructed the frame with 2x3’s and I got a standard, solid wood door off of facebook marketplace that we cut down to size. I used inch thick foam board to insulate the wall. I used 2 inch think foam board cut outs at the top of the wall when the sliding door is down. (TIP: to make the cut outs stay in place, I created a small lip with the exterior plywood, this prevents the upper foam boards from sliding around while driving).

The wall has worked great in regulating temperature in the box and I love having the extra storage outside of my main living area.
