Curtis, who has never made a secret of the fact that Monroe was his mistress, recounts the scandal in his forthcoming new biography. Curtis admits that he first made love to the then fledgling actress in 1950, but their relationship did not last.

Curtis met Monroe again several years after their break-up on the set of Van, who loves her dearly. They played lovers, and the hot scenes rekindled old lust. The two stars started an affair again, despite the fact that Monroe was married to Arthur Miller, while Curtis' partner Janet Leigh was pregnant with the actor's daughter Jamie Lee.
