Have you used delay on your vocals like THIS before…? #musicproductiontips

Delay is one of the most useful tools to use in a mix to help get depth and dimension.

Although it can be used in a more traditional way to create an ‘echo’ sound, if you have a very slight delay (eg: 15-20ms) and a very little amount of the effect applied (5-10% wet), this can still add a great amount of depth to your vocals.
The depth is almost felt rather than heard, but makes your mix sound more professional overall. It gives the vocal that fullness and character that helps bring out the emotion in the voice.
