AUDI R8 - MY FRONT DIFF FAILED!

My Audi R8's front differential failed right after I bought it. How hard can it be to pull it out and repair it?

A little bit more background on this story : The repairer offered me a terrific deal to replace the carrier bearings in the diff (usually the failure point) but unfortunately it seems our failure lay somewhere else - my own fault for not opting for a full rebuild!
