My Picks:
Breeze and Deakins are hands down my favourite shorts. Not only are they comfortable they're versatile and chic, pair it with your favourite button up and throw on a pair of sneakers, sandals or strappy heels and you have a fit.

If you're looking for a pair of Japanese crepe material shorts, I'd go with the Sonata. I think the minimal sleek design is 10/10. You can dress these up a bit more than boxer shorts but can also look great with a simple T and they're incredibly timeless imo.

As far as trouser shorts go, my favourite ones would be the Agency and the Pleated shorts. The Agency like I mentioned are the most versatile. They have bit of stretch to them, no pleats and easily dresses up or down (make sure you look at the different materials offered: Sustainable vs cotton blend vs wool blend). The pleated shorts I also really liked, they were fitted in the waist and roomy down the leg. They just look "smart" and I'd go for the 5" inch length in both of these (if you're taller than perhaps the 7").

Recycled polyester blend - Sustainable, usually heavier, less prone to wrinkling, less likely to shrink (follow care labels), durable.

Cotton blend - Breathable, hypoallergenic, prone to wrinkles (minimized when blended with synthetic material like polyester), soft.

Shoes:
Zara Ivory flatform sandals - https://go.zara/3wrGmlK (not the most comfortable for long wear unless you're not typically bothered by thong type sandals) - I think flatform sandals are everything this season (hopefully next as well). For designer pairs Gianvitto Rossi and Valentino have some killer options.
