Pokemon FireRed / LeafGreen Hardcore Nuzlocke - Episode 11 - Cutting Down Our Rival On the S.S. Anne

We're attempting a Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokemon LeafGreen. We'll be using standard Hardcore Nuzlocke rules as well as other banned pokemon. Everything listed below:

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1. If a pokemon faints, they (and all their evolutions) are dead and cannot be used again
2. We must catch the first encounter of each route and are only allowed that one try. If the pokemon escapes or dies, we cannot catch anything else is that route or location
3. No items in battle
4. Play on "Set" mode
5. Must name all pokemon caught
6. No legendaries or pokemon I've used to beat the elite 4 in previous Nuzlockes
7. Dupes clause in effect. (If our first encounter is something we have already caught, we will roll again until we find a new encounter)
