How to Crochet: Sunburst Beret
Written Pattern:

Materials:
5.50mm crochet hook (size I-9)
Yarn Needle
1 skein of worsted weight yarn
Scissors

Stitches used:
chain (ch)
slip stitch (sl st)
double crochet (DC)
single crochet (SC)

Start off with the magic circle

Round 1: Ch 2 (does not count as a DC)
Put 20 DC's into the magic circle, join with sl st into the top of 1st DC.

Round 2: Ch 4 (counts as first DC, ch 1), *DC in next DC, ch 1;
repeat from * around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 4 = 20 DC total

Round 3: Ch 5 (counts as first DC, ch 2), *DC in next DC, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in 3rc ch of beginning ch 5 = 20 DC total

Round 4: Sl st to first ch 2 space, ch 3, DC in same sp, ch 2, *2 DC in next ch 2 sp, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 2-DC clusters total

Round 5: Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, *3 DC in next ch 2 sp, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 3-DC clusters total

Round 6-9: Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, ch 2, *4 DC in next ch 2 sp, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 4-DC clusters total

Round 10: Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, *3 DC in next sp, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 3-DC clusters total

Round 11: Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, ch 1, *2 DC in next sp, ch 2;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 2-DC clusters total

Round 12: Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 3, DC in same sp, ch 1, *2 DC in next sp, ch 1;
repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3 = 20 2-DC clusters total

Round 13: Ch 1, sc in each DC and ch 1 sp around, join with sl st in beginning ch 1 = 60 SC stitches total

Round 14-15: Ch 1, sc in each SC around, join with sl st in beginning ch 1 = 60 SC stitches total

Fasten Off.
Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
