Why transits don't affect everyone — Hellenistic Time Lords, Retrogrades, and Zodiacal Releasing!

The only planets that impact you on a daily basis are your time lords, the progressed rulers of your first house.

Time Lord calculation is a Hellenistic method of progressing a house in the chart by using the synodic cycles of the planets. This technique is called Zodiacal Releasing.

An example: my first house is in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter with a synodic period of 12 years so my Time Lord was Jupiter for 12 years. When I turned 12, the Time Lord progressed to Capricorn/Saturn.

Additionally, each major period has a sub Time Lord. I won't go into the details of that too much, but at any period of time you have two planets influencing that area of life. The first house is most interesting to most as this represents your personal identity. However, the 10th house can be very interesting as this demonstrates the evolution of your professional life.
