Black Lives Matter: Caller Rhoda sets out argument to defund the police

talkRADIO’s Ian Collins has been challenged in a fierce debate by Rhoda from Bromley over the Black Lives Matter campaign to defund the police.

Rhoda argued that the police structure encompassed “systematic and institutional racism”.

“I understand that not every single person that joins the police force is racist - I’m saying the police force has been built on racist ideals because that’s what our history has been based on,” she said.

Ian responded: “If you want to angle history in a certain way…if you want to make it fit I promise you will make it fit - you can make any argument fit to suit your own belief.”

“The idea that the police was built on a racist ideal, is nonsense.”
