At the Swearing-In Ceremony for the Secretary of Homeland Security, Trump said negotiations with Iran are underway, with the US holding all the leverage: "Their navy's gone, their air force is gone, their communications are gone—pretty much everything they have is gone."

Trump expressed optimism about peace talks, asserting, "We have won this... Planes are flying over Tehran and they can't do a thing about it. They are totally defeated militarily." He emphasized no nuclear weapons for Iran, adding the US controls key assets and prefers to avoid further destruction like targeting Iran's prized new power plants. "We are way ahead of schedule—they have no Navy, no Air Force, and no missile protection," Trump concluded.
