Is an RTX 2070 good enough for AAA games in 2021? Cyberpunk can tell us!

Should I upgrade my RTX 2070 to be ready for AAA games in 2021? I see Cyberpunk 2077 as a good "worst case scenario" test because I predict that most games in 2021 will be less demanding due to lower visual quality and/or better optimization. Also, Cyberpunk conveniently allows us to test DLSS on/off, as well as RT on/off in a game that actually heavily uses RT rather than some games that don't use it heavily. I focus on 1440p, since I believe the 2070 is clearly fine for1080p unless you want high framerate with RT on, and the 2070 is not strong enough to consider seriously for 4K. I plan on doing a separate video for 3440x1440 ultrawide.

I address performance for games with DLSS, without DLSS, with ray tracing, and without ray tracing. Again, Cyberpunk can be used to simulate all of these demands. We can then draw conclusions based on the framerates achieved at these settings.

Installed on NVME SSD
MSI Afterburner was used for framerate counting
