Toyota has developed the Yaris Cross with the European consumer in mind. In doing so, the development team has leveraged the expertise Toyota has gained from the successful Toyota C-HR and Toyota RAV4, the world's best-selling SUV.

The Yaris Cross is wide, but compact has large wheels and a high seat. In short: a pure SUV with a powerful look, a spacious interior, and a good all-around view. The draw weight of the Yaris Cross and Yaris Cross Hybrid is 1,350 kg * and 750 kg * respectively, with both 75 kg * nose weight.

Standard equipment on the Yaris Cross includes air conditioning, remote central locking, daytime running lights, and LED taillights, as well as extensive safety equipment.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. This safety package includes Automatic High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Trace Assist, Pre-Collision System and Road Sign Assist.

The Executive, Adventure, and Launch Edition versions are also equipped with a Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. In addition, every Yaris Cross is equipped with a central airbag between the front seats, which further increases safety for the occupants.

First Edition limited and extra complete On the occasion of the market debut of the Yaris Cross, Toyota has created the First Edition. An exclusive (because limited) version that is additionally fully equipped.

The luxury feeling is enhanced by a heated windscreen, heated steering wheel, and sports seats (half leather) with seat heating. The tailgate can be operated hands-free thanks to a handy kick sensor.

The absolute top version of the Yaris Cross is the Launch Edition. Based on the Adventure, but made even more distinctive by its interior accents in black piano lacquer and trendy two-tone exterior color 'Brass Gold' with black roof. Full leather seats are standard.

Both the Adventure and the Launch Edition have always been performed as a 1.5 Hybrid with standard automatic transmission. The prices for the Adventure start at 35,995 euros or 525 euros per month. Those of the top-end Launch Edition starts at 37,695 euros or 545 euros per month.

The Yaris Cross Hybrid is equipped with a 1.5-liter Hybrid powertrain with 85 kW/116 hp. The engine is a 3-cylinder Atkinson petrol engine, which is designed to reduce friction and mechanical losses and optimize the combustion rate.

The result is high torque at low revs and excellent fuel efficiency with low CO 2 emissions (provisional WLTP figure: from 103 g/km). The prices of the entry-level versions of the Yaris Cross Hybrid will be announced by Toyota in the run-up to the time that the Yaris Cross appears in the showroom.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (TMMF) has started production of Yaris Cross, an all-new compact urban-style SUV to be launched in Europe in August. A significant additional investment of €400 million has been made to enable the production of two models on the same line at the plant—the 4th generation Toyota Yaris and the all-new Yaris Cross—scaling up TMMF’s annual production capacity to 300,000 vehicles.

Designed and developed to meet the needs of European customers in the B-segment SUV market, the projected powertrain mix of the new Yaris Cross is expected to be made up predominantly by the low CO2 emission hybrid version, in line with the company’s plans for a 90% electrification mix by 2025.

Yaris Cross is the second model to be based on Toyota’s GA-B compact car platform and the 8th TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) model to be made in Europe*. Its start of production also marks further progress of Toyota’s localization strategy.
