like ripples

because we separate like ripples on a blank shore...

I've started a new job about a month or so ago, and during it, I've been able to collect some of my favorite shots as a news photographer. Are they cinematic masterpieces? No, but they do have some sort of beauty-like quality to them. I decided to piece some from a recent story together, shift it to B/W, and throw one of the songs I currently have on repeat over it.

There is something special about this to me. I think it displays my mental state as of lately. Something about seeing the amazing aspects in life, but with muted colors. The mixing of depression and beauty. It's hard to describe, and even if this quality footage isn't the greatest, the point still comes across.

Even in a person's darkest times, there's something to protect and bring them light, even if it's small.

I plan to do more stuff like this with the shots I gather. Something to keep my creative mind occupied.
