Sn@tch!ng in Jalandhar: Bike-borne r0bbers snatch women’s phone, police reach after 45 minutes

A late-night sn@tch!ng incident in Jalandhar’s Basti Nau market has triggered anger among local residents and shopkeepers where around 10 PM a young woman returning home from work was targeted by two bike-borne r0bbers who snatched her mobile phone and fled.

The vict!m who lives in Gandhi Camp was left shaken and broke down after the incident while people nearby rushed to help her however locals alleged that police reached the spot nearly 45 minutes later and instead of comforting the woman asked her unusual questions like whether she was holding the phone in her right or left ear.

This led to strong protests from shopkeepers who raised slogans against the police and questioned the lack of patrolling in the area and said snatching cases are increasing but security on the ground remains weak.

Later the ACP of Jalandhar West reached the spot and assured that CCTV footage is being checked and police say two suspects on a motorcycle are involved and efforts are on to identify and arrest them soon.
