Unchanging God by David Bernard

Plato's idea of God who one was who static, remote and unemotional. It was the prevailing philosophy in the 1st century. However, the bible shows that God has care about our hair, sparrows and creation and involved with us in all points. Many Christian thinkers adopted Platonic thought in the 2nd century and onwards. They adopted an Idea that the Great God himself could not come down Himself but sent a secondary being , a son, subordinate or word, that robed Himself in flesh, created and died for the world. The doctrine or teaching of two persons in the godhead came about, and later then the Trinity or Trinitas (Coined by Tertullian in 200 AD, meaning three gods in unity and it's concept came from Babylon) was created. The supreme God though He's unchanging in his character, but is deeply involved in all of His creation. He came into the world, and His Holy Spirit entered into a body prepared from birth to die on a cross to save the world from sin. The point is the we serve an unchanging God in a changing world. His truth never changes. though many believe in the opposite view, they false hold that truth changes. Our righteous God will not change His standards, but give us help, mercy and grace to obtain salvation. His truth never changes not, His word is forever settled in heaven. God gave us a way out of condemnation, that's through Jesus Christ,. When we apply His name to every part of our lives by belief, and in our baptism, then we have a hope of eternal life and obtain by walking continually in His word, by which God promised us everlasting salvation, and He cannot lie. God will judge the world for sin one day; but we who believe are passed on from the judgment from death to life because we trusted in Him completely. Just as God sent Jonah to Nineveh, to proclaim that God would judge it and overthrow it in 40 days, but they repented and were spared by His mercy. He's a God of both justice and mercy, willing to forgive though not being slack concerning sin. He loved us when we were unlovable, but He will not allow people to despise His goodness; and all who refuse His help, mercy and truth will receive the wages of sin, which is death. Yet God went to most extreme lengths to reconcile the world or all unto Himself.
