"Telephone" was written by the pop singer Lady Gaga and given to Britney for her sixth studio album, Circus. It didn't manage to make into the final tracklist of Circus. It is rumored Britney wanted to put the song in the tracklist of her greatest hits album The Singles Collection, but Gaga decided to record the song herself. Telephone featuring Beyoncé was the second single of The Fame Monster and it managed to hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Britney's own version of the song leaked in 2010 and her version with Gaga leaked in 2015.
