(Kor) Ep.7 | You Too Can Read Korean (6)– Double Final Consonants (겹받침)!
Hi everyone! I’m Tina, your Korean teacher 😊
In today’s lesson, we’re learning about double final consonants (겹받침) — when a syllable has two consonants at the bottom.
We’ll start by reviewing the 7 basic final consonant sounds,
then learn which double consonants keep the first sound,
and which ones use the second sound instead.
You’ll also learn what liaison (연음) is — when a final consonant connects to the next syllable.
It might sound tricky, but don’t worry!
I’ll show you real pronunciation using [brackets] so you can see and hear the difference clearly! 👀👂
⸻
🎯 In this lesson, you’ll learn:
• Review of final consonants (받침)
• How to pronounce double batchim
• Pronunciation rules + exceptions
• Common Korean greetings: 안녕하세요, 감사합니다, 죄송합니다
